When the teams behind Bitch Events and Venus brought John Dahlback to the club in March 2013, we made a statement that this year Venus would aim to bring some of the biggest DJs in the world to the club

May 5th 2013 sees us take the next step in fulfilling that aim

The name Chris Lake has been the talk of electronic music for the past six years

Six years in which he has accomplished more than most could in a lifetime

Six years in which you'd expect other artists' popularity to fade

Not Chris

The latter half of 2011 saw the man himself sign an album deal with American powerhouse Ultra Records and unleash the single "Sundown", which went top ten on Beatport and clocked up another ‘world famous Essential New Tune' accolade on Pete Tong's Radio 1 show

Supporting Chris Lake is one of the clubs longest standing residents and a legend in the club is our very own Chris J Frater

Not only an immensely talented DJ but him and his production partner Ryan Stent have had tracks signed to Pacha Recordings, Hed Kandi, Suka Records and Applique Music to name a few

Completing the lineup is a selection of local DJs guaranteed to keep the crowd going all night long

We are proud to welcome back to Manchester a DJ who has played for Bitch at some of our biggest parties over the last few years

He headlined our NYD 2012 event, helping us start our most successful year to date

CHRISTEENE is a sexually infused sewer of live rap and vile shamelessness, capable of adapting amazingly well to all styles of music. It is noted that CHRISTEENE commands a stage presence of furious intensity accompanied by a strict regiment of hardcore dance and destructive choreography. The singerâs impressive sound arsenal showcases a wide range of musical appreciation and mastery ranging from Electro to R&B, Hip Hop to Dub Step. Reports from live shows often involve the words, butt plugs, helium, urination and panda masks. I guess in short weâre saying YOU NEED TO BE HERE.
Joining this show will be the long awaited return of Manchesterâs best known queen, Zsa Zsa Noir, Self confessed as âa trashbag disco tranny who makes filthy music for us all.â We have been long awaiting her return and are pretty darn excited to see what she has been up to since the release of her last single, âHey Lean Diggy Doggyâ.
Kurt Dirt will be bringing his new show to the village hall as well along with the Tranarchy Soundsystem in full flow with a host of performances, as well as DJ sets from the likes of The Niallist, OwTH DJs, Chew Disco, Deany Sevigny & DJ Louie (Sapphic Traffic)

Singer, composer, conductor and artist ESKA has added her unique vocal signature to countless records by major recording artists. Now she steps out into the limelight for this very special live performance on the back of her debut EP Gatekeeper.

Zimbabwe-born and London-raised singer-songwriter ESKA comes from a rich musical background. As a vocalist, writer and arranger ESKA has worked with artists ranging from Zero 7 and The Cinematic Orchestra to Bobby McFerrin and Grace Jones. Her vocal arrangements have credits on 3 Mercury-nominated albums while as a conductor, ESKA has led a 150-voice choir for Bobby McFerrin and is Music Director for Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble.

âThe backbone of the British music scene has stepped out from the shadows to take centre stageâ i-D Magazine Touring on the back of her debut solo EP Gatekeeper, her solo work reveals an outstanding contemporary folk singer whose music also wears the influence of psychedelia, jazz and choral music proudly on its sleeve.

A blistering night of world-class jazz fusion from the the incredible Chris Dave and his forever shape-shifting Drumhedz.

Chris Dave and the Drumhedz consists of world-renowned musicians that always alternate. The band may include a combination of any of the following: saxophonist, key player, bassist, guitarist and drummer (Chris Dave).

The show takes the audience on a musical journey by playing a variety of genres. Sometimes the band performs covers that are inspired by themes from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, DâAngelo, Fela Kuti, Radiohead, J Dilla and many more. With special surprise guests showing up during performances such as Beyoncé, Mos Def, and Bilal to name a few, Chris Dave and the Drumhedz always adds to the energetic movement of the show.

Manchester's much loved Soul Boutique comes to Band on the Wall for a night of glamour and drop dead gorgeous tunes on the dancefloor.

In recent years Julie has toured the world alongside international acts as a Co-Vocalist. Her own work has received air play on Jazz Fm/BBC Manchester/All FM/XFM/UNITY RADIO and was voted the most promising vocalist, by Giles Peterson. Julie has since recorded tracks with labels, Grand Central, Giant Step Records, and Sanctuary Records, Time Warp Music. She has worked with producer Sunny Levine, on the Album 'Uncle Dysfunctional (Happy Mondays) - an album that has allowed to show off her skills as a passionate and powerful vocalist.

Soul Boutique Productions, the brainchild of Roger Simpson, Joanna Lee and Courtnay Mattis, created a night of soulful music in the boutique intimate setting of Bar 8 in Castlefield . A night designed for a glamorous mature crowd, to listen to quality 80s 90s Y2K soul music with no attitude, hassle free, enjoyable nights out, this was the set for success from day one . With a plethora of Soul DJâs lined up to play at the nights, the word got out and Soul Boutique Productions grew and moved to a bigger venue, The Bridge on Bridge Street, Manchester in June 2012.
