1) FSOM - Welcome (Thomas P Heckmann Mix) 2) Sonic Voyagers - Beyond the Infinite 3) Q-Kontrol vs. VC Faktor Bioplexus 4) TR-Storm Rise
Featuring Australian artists: FSOM (Melbourne, Australia) The triad collectively known as Future Sound Of Melbourne brought together the diverse talents of Davide Carbone, Josh Abrahams and Steve Robbins. Their first release in the early 90's has put them in the top five placing in the UK Mix Mag's dance chart. The act had received contracts from Sony Music (Australia), Carl Cox and Volume Records (UK), Frank De Wulf and Sony Music (Belgium), Trancemaster (Germany), Underground Resistance and AXIS (USA). For the past decade FSOM have been at the forefront of underground electronic music in Australia. They have performed Live at hundreds of raves, festivals, and events around Australia. Sonic Voyagers (Melbourne, Australia) The Sonic Voyagers is an eclectic, very rare special occasion that brings together two of Melbournes preeminent electronic musicians, Voiteck Andersen (Voiteck/TD5) and Steve Law (Zen Paradox). Both musicians have, individually, starred on a whos who of Australian and overseas labels including Psy-Harmonics, IF?, Harthouse, Primate and Nova Zembla), and together they released a studio album as the Sonic Voyagers for Danish label April.
TR-Storm (Melbourne, Australia) Comprising of musicians Dan Woodman and Derek Shiel. Melbourne-based producers who were one of the first live acts to play at Global Village as the new sounds were emerging. Together, Dan and Derek could been found tweaking and peaking playing live alongside such names as Voiteck, Zen Paradox, Sven Vath, Juan Atkins, Reflex Allstars, Baby Ford, DJ T1000, and Stacey Pullen. Both boys continue to make music and DJ at outdoor festivals like Rainbow Serpent. Q-Kontrol vs VC Faktor (Melbourne, Australia) Real name Dave Beattie, Q-Kontrol always was the quiet achiever of underground techno and electronica in Melbourne, few people know that he headlined the first ever IF? live music gig or that he was one of the standouts on Shock Records techno sampler, A Taste Of Candy Vol. 2, easily holding his own against better-knowns like FSOM and Snog. Q-Kontrol collaborated with his friend, VC Faktor for Andrez Bergens IF? Records, and also went on to do some scathingly good remixes for Snog and Black Lung.
And a remix by Thomas P. Heckmann: German producer Thomas P. Heckmann (aka. Drax, Exit 100, Age) delivers a slamming acid remix for FSOM's "Welcome", available on elek008 - "Spirit Ov Thee Acid EP".
