iCal

Every city and category in spraci has an iCal feed which can be used in Calendar Applications such as Apple's iCal, Mozilla Sunbird, KOrganizer, etc.

http://www.spraci.com/ics/[citykeyword]/[categorykeyword].ics

eg: http://www.spraci.com/ics/x0sydney/all.ics

(or http://www.spraci.com/ics/sydney/all.ics - you can leave off the 'x0' if the spraci keyword for a city or category starts with that)

or you can also do this: http://www.spraci.com/listics.php?parea=[areakeyword]&category=[categorykeyword]&showdescriptions=[1orblank]&oneoffonly=[1orblank]&weeklyonly=[1orblank]

[areakeyword] is the SPRACI keyword for the city/state/country. (you can find this from looking at urls within the SPRACI website.
It is normally something like the name of the area with a prefix (x0, x1 or x2) in front of it. (different cities with the same names can be distinguished because they will have a different prefix)

[categorykeyword] is a keyword for the category (type of event or genre of music). This is usually something like a common name used to describe the type of event or music genre prefixed by 'x0'.

[1orblank] - use a '1' to turn this function on or leave it blank (or omit the parameter).
"showdescriptions" - if this is a '1' it will send a short description with each listing.
"oneoffonly" - Show only events listed as "one-off" events (not weeklies)
"weeklyonly" - Show only events listed as weekly events

For publishing use urls like this: http://www.spraci.com/icspublish/citykeyword/categorykeyword.ics

eg: http://www.spraci.com/icspublish/sydney/all.ics

The username and password to use are the same as the those you use to log in to SPRACI.

If you view the calendar at the publish url you will see any future events currently listed which you have added to spraci (in any city/category)

Publishing is experimental: please remember to list the city and country in the location field and use common names for things like music genres in your description. It will attempt to auto-categorize it. (this is due to the lack of standards and client software support for representing cities/countries and categories)
